The TEKHNDREV Siberia International Specialized Exhibition is a part of the All-Russian Network of Woodworking Exhibitions which gives the forestry equipment manufacturers and suppliers an opportunity to showcase their products in all Russian regions: North-Western (St. Petersburg), Southern (Rostov-on-Don), Ural and Volga (Perm), Siberian (Krasnoyarsk) and in the Far East (Khabarovsk).
The Network is mainly aimed at promotion of state-of-the-art technologies and innovations for logging, woodworking and furniture industries on the domestic forestry market.
Large regional centers with economic background (natural resources, production capacity, personnel, transport connection) for successful development of forestry complex and where active investment projects are in process, where the leading exhibition companies operate and which can offer modern exhibition grounds, were chosen for implementation of this objective.
Brief description of the forestry complex of the Regions
Krasnoyarsk was chosen as the venue for the TEKHNODREV project in the Far East Federal District.
TEKHNODREV Siberia is :
Held in the capital of the Krasnoyarsk Kray, Krasnoyarsk. The total forest lands of the Kray cover 160 mln. ha which accounts for 15% of the whole forest land of Russia. Total forest reserves of the Kray amount to11,9 billion of cubic meters, summarized periodic yield is 59,7 million cubic meters
Krasnoyarsk Kray is the leader in production of fiberboards in Russia and accounts for 24% of all fiberboards produced in Russia. In 2004 the Administration of Krasnoyarsk Kray adopted the Concept of Krasnoyarsk Kray forestry complex development in 2004-2015. Implementation of the concept will foster considerable increase of a number of key figures of the forestry industry, such as: felling volume by 1,8 times, lumber production by 2,5 times. Оn June 14, 2006, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum , the project on integrated development of Nizhnee Priangarye was approved. The project is regarded as the core of development of a whole number of industries in Nizhnee Priangarye, and first and foremost, wood processing sector.
Held at the best venue of the region – in the Siberian International Exhibition and Business Center (www.k-expo.ru) that offers a full range of services for holding of exhibitions, conferences and symposiums on international level.
