PAC Product name:CAS No. 1327-41-9 CAS No. 1327-41-9 For Drinking Water This product is polymerized of inorganic macromolecule coagulant and natural macromolecule flocculant during producing polyaluminum chloride by advanced production process, which combines the respective advantages of those two materials with synergistic effect, thereby improved the purifying effect obviously. The product passed the new-product appraisal in 1995 ,which authorized by Jiangsu Provincial Science Committee. Properties The product has especially good effect on the treatment of high turbidity water (turbidity>100NTU) and organic-polluted water. Its purifying effect is 1.5-3.0 times of ordinary polyaluminum chloride (based on the same content percentage of Al2O3),and the treatment cost is 20%-80% lower. It can lean to quick formation of floc with big size and rapid precipitation. It is suitable for the sedimentation basins of different shapes. It has wide-range adaptability to the surface water at different temperatures and qualities. The intensity of labour is reduced due to small dosage. The liquid product is slightly corrosive and suitable for the automatic dosing and convenient for operation. Furthermore, it will not block pipes over long-time usage. The product can be made upon customers’ special request. Application Method & Notes 1.The liquid product can be dosed directly or dosed after dilution. Dilution is necessary before dosing for the solid product.The normal dilution ratio for the solid product is 2%-20%,and 5%-50% for the liquid product (based on weight percentage). 2.The specific dosage is based on the flocculation tests and trials by the users. The usual dosage of the liquid product is 3-40 g/ton, and of the solid product, 1-15 g/ton. 3.The product can not be stored with other chemicals. 4.For the liquid product, we provide special tanks for transportation to the clients, and afford the storage tank. The solid product is packed in inner plastic bags and further in polypropylene woven bags,with each bag containing 25Kg. 5.The shelf life is 6 months for liquid product and 12 months for the solid product. The product should be stored in a dry and ventilated place, but the effect will not be affected even if it gets wet. 6.The product has some corrosivity. It needs lot of water to wash if the product splashes into eyes. For Industrial Effluent This product is manufactured through changing the structure and from distribution of polymer by special production process during producing polyaluminum chloride; its high molecular weight reinforces the capability of charge neutralization and bridge absorption towards the negative-charged colloid. It is a harmless inorganic composite coagulant with macromolecule, and is the ideal chemical to treat low-temperature、low-turbidity and heavily organic-polluted water. Properties 1. Its purifying effect on low-temperature、low-turbidity and heavily organic-polluted raw water is obviously improved compared with other organic flocculant, furthermore, the treatment cost is lowered 10%-30%. 2. It can lend to quick formation of floc (especially at low temperature ) with big size and rapid precipitation, that avoids flocs unsetting down during the winter time, reduces the flush frequency, thereby prolongs the service life of cellular filter of sedimentation basin. 3. The dosage is smaller than that of other flocculants, which is better for improving the quality of treated water. 4. It has wide-range adaptability to the waters at different temperatures (in the summer and the winter ) and at different regions (in the south and the north of China). 5. It is suitable for automatic dosing device of alum.
