Chinese Calligraphy

There are only three Chinese characters on this calligraphy ---- Gu Du Yuan. The meaning is "Lonesome Garden". Gu Du is a word means lonely. Yuan means a good place like garden.
How can a lonely place be a nice garden? Chinese people say: Lonely is one person's paradise, while crowded is many people's lonesome.
Enjoy the quiet and peaceful moment and be yourself in your "Lonesome Garden".
All of these Calligraphys are wrriten by my grandfather who is a famous Chinese senior artist named Fang Tingdong. His Hao is NaiWeng and it's a house hold name in our hometown.
He is 85 years old and has been practising Chinese calligraphy for 76 years. His wish is let the whole world know and come close to his works. Through his works you can understand Chinese culture better.
