Brief Introduction
At present the oil exploitation has gone into the mid-late period. As the number of deep and ultra-deep oil wells increases significantly, greater difficulties in oil well cementing work are encountered in various deep well conditions such as low pressure and easy-leakage, long barefoot interval, long isolated interval, multi-pressure interval oil wells. High performance ultra-low density cement slurry is often used for oil well cementing. The quality of the cementing work directly affects the operating life of the oil and gas well and the protection of resources.
Our company has developed an advanced cementing technology, i. E. Mechanical physical foaming equipment and technique for the preparation of low/ultra-low density foam cement slurry. The density of cement slurry blended with such technique can be adjusted among 1. 30~1. 65g/cm3. The technique is well applicable in low pressure and easy-leakage well cementing, under-balanced well drilling.
After more than two year's laboratory experimentation and field application, we have developed types of special foam-generating equipment and special foam-generating fluid for the preparation of different types of ultra-low density cement slurry. Its application in the cementing work performed at oil wells at Changqing Oilfield in China proves that this patent pending technology is easy to apply, and foam cement so prepared is essentially stable as the foam and the cement is very compatible. The average density of the pressurized cement slurry is 1. 30 g/cm3. Its bonding strength meets the requirement and is well suitable for the cementing of low pressure and easy leakage formation, shallow gas formation, and long isolated intervals.

1. Easy to apply, high efficiency
Only after the formulated special cementing foam-generating fluid being added, the cementing foam-generating equipment will continuously impart uniform tiny pressurized gas bubbles to the cement mixer through the high pressure pipe lines until the cement slurry reaches the designed density. The whole cementing work is carried out continuously. This technology saves the cementing wok time, requires less equipment and reduced the intensity of labor work; Therefore the efficiency of the overall work is significantly improved.
2. Lower cost
With the same and even better cementing performance, mechanical foam-generating technology for the preparation of low/ultra-low density cement slurry is superior to the current cementing technology used in the production cost, which is 40%-60% less in the material cost.
3. Better bonding strength on the second contact surface
When the slurry is setting, its temperature is rising, which will cause the micro-inflation of the foams. Such swelling force effectively restrains the shrinkage of the set cement, and thereby the bonding strength on the second contact surface is improved.
4. Cement slurry density continuously adjustable
Since the amount of foam supplied by the foam-generator is continuously adjustable, the cement slurry density can be actively adjusted accordingly, which helps the set annular cement sheath reach an even density, and improves the cementing quality. This can not be achieved by fly ash microsphere and chemical foaming technology.
