Quincoetone, categorized to quinoxalines, can be generally synthesized. Quincetone is a new animal drug and feed additive researched and developed in our laboratory. In extensive toxicology test, quincetone can produce no teratogenic, carcinogenic, mutation, embryotoxic or allergic effects. In acute toxicity, LD 50 of quincetone in mice and rats is 14398mg/kg bodyweight and 8179mg/kg bodyweight, respectively, which is approximately 1/4 of toxicity of olaquindox (also categorized to quinoxalines, applied extensively in animal feed field). Quincetone will be hoped to be a substitute of olaquindox and applied extensively in poultry and livestock farming.
