Tubular bowl centrifuge is the simplest type and can provide very high centrifuge force. The centrifuge can be cooled and hence it is advantageous in protein and other thermally labile bioproduct separation. The centrifuge is mostly used in pilot plant level. The tubular bowl centrifuge derives its stability above critical speed from its relative large length-to-diameter aspect ratio, in the range of approximately 4.35 to 7.25. Tubular bowl centrifuges have dewatering capacity, but limited solid capacity.

It is a vertical high speed tubular separator, generating huge centrifugal force. It is used for continuous separation of two immiscible liquid having different specific gravities and for clarification of liquid.

It have two types, one is GF another is GQ. GF is for 3 phase, GQ is for 2 phase.

It is mainly used for separating all kinds of material which is very difficult to be separated especially for solids removal from liquids. It is strong in separation, simple in structure, convenient in operation.
