As to microporous membrane filter we have diameter 50mm,25mm, 13mm, pore size 0.2μ0.45μand 0.8μ. Various materials are available.

Nylon66

High quality nylon66 membranes are suitable for filtering aqueous solutions and most organic solvents. The membranes are suitable for use with a wide range of biological preparations and can be used where other membranes are unsuitable or difficult to use.

Nylon66 membranes are hydrophilic, eliminating the need for wetting agents that could be extracted when filtering aqueous solutions. The membranes are flexible, durable and tear resistant, and can be autoclaved at 121ºC.

PES

Jinteng polyethersulfone (PES) membranes are hydrophilic, low protein binding and stable in alkaline pH. Available in a 0.8µm pore size, the PES membrane is recommended for aqueous applications and for biological samples. They are also an alternative choice for users requiring a filter that exhibits extremely low protein binding characteristics.

PTFE

 

PTFE membranes are particularly suitable for preparing samples for HPLC analysis. The hydrophobic nature of the membrane also has applications for air and gas sterilization. The membrane is laminated onto a non-woven polypropylene support web for improved strength and handling and can be used at temperatures up to 150ºC.

PTFE is the membrane of choice for use with the aggressive solvents, liquids and gases that can attack other membranes. It is resistant to most acids, alkalis and solvents. 

CA

 

Jinteng CA (Cellulose Acetate) membrane filters are composed of pure cellulose acetate modified to offer researchers the lowest binding filters available. Due to the extremely low binding characteristics, these filters provide higher throughputs than competitive offerings and reduce filter changes when filtering proteinaceous solutions.

Because of their unique strength and extremely low binding characteristics, Jinteng CA (Cellulose Acetate) filters are ideal for protein and enzyme filtrations, tissue culture media sterilization, cold sterilization, biological fluid filtration and other filtration applications where maximum recovery of proteins is critical. 

PVDF

 

PVDF (Polyvinylidene difluoride) Syringe Filters provides high flow rates and throughput, low extractables and broad chemical compatibility.  Hydrophilic PVDF membranes bind far less protein than nylon, nitrocellulose or PTFE membranes. PVDF filters are perfect for HPLC and GC sample prep/clean up and protein-based samples with high non-specific binding.
