White aciculiform, or white scale-like solid, the relative density of 1.527, the melting point of 131.10 degree celsius, the boiling point of 284.5 degree celsius, the flash point of 152 degree celsius, self-ignition point of 580 degree celsius, easy to sublimate, slightly soluble in cold water, easy soluble in hot water, and hydrolyze into phthalic acid, easy soluble in ethanol, benzene and pyridine, slightly soluble in ether. Its gas and air mixture’s explosive limit is 1.7% to 10.5% (volume).
